1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Luminoly (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Luminoly is a personal finance management platform that provides tools for expense tracking, budgeting, goal setting, debt management, investment portfolio tracking, bank synchronisation, and AI-powered financial insights. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier available.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan: Available at no charge with limited features as described on our Pricing page.

Paid Plans: Basic (€7/month) and Premium (€12/month) plans are billed monthly. Prices are in EUR and inclusive of applicable taxes where required.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly cycle. Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the unused portion of a billing period.

Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without our written permission.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its performance.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

6. Financial Information Disclaimer

Luminoly is a personal finance management tool and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional financial advice. Always consult a qualified financial adviser before making significant financial decisions.

7. Bank Sync

The bank sync feature connects to your bank accounts via Enable Banking's PSD2-compliant API. By enabling this feature, you authorise us to access your account information and transaction history on your behalf. You may revoke this access at any time through your account settings. We do not store your banking credentials.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and code — are owned by Luminoly and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luminoly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine to be harmful to other users or to the Service. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, to the extent applicable, Finnish law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.
